Where Your Forever Near Journey Begins
How it works!
Our Process
Firstly, we'd like to thank you for choosing Forever Near to create a lasting tribute to your loved one. We understand how precious your memories are, and we're honoured to be trusted with creating something so meaningful.
Our aim is to make the entire process as simple, stress-free and straightforward as possible. We'll guide you every step of the way, with very little required from you.
Step 1 – Place Your Order
Browse our collection and choose your perfect piece of jewellery, along with your preferred colour or opal.
If you're ordering a ring and aren't sure of your size, simply select "Unsure" from the ring size dropdown menu. A complimentary ring sizer will be included in your inclusion pack, allowing you to measure your finger accurately before returning your inclusions.
Once you've made your selection, simply add your items to your basket and complete checkout using one of our secure payment providers.
Step 2 – Your Inclusion Pack
Once your order has been placed, we'll send an inclusion pack to the address provided at checkout.
If you have any questions at any stage, we're always happy to help. You can contact us via the website chat or email us at info@forevernearjewellery.com. We aim to respond within 30 minutes during our opening hours.
Please note: Tester orders follow a slightly different process. Instructions will be sent by email, so please remember to check your junk or spam folder if you haven't received them.
Your inclusion pack contains:
-
Your order form (please check all details before returning it).
-
A ring sizer (if requested).
-
A clearly labelled, securely sealed pouch for your inclusions.
-
A prepaid Royal Mail Tracked return mailer.
We recommend making a note of the tracking number on your return mailer so you can follow your parcel using the Royal Mail app or website.
Once everything is ready, simply post your pack at your local Post Office or place it in a Royal Mail post box.
Step 3 – We Receive Your Inclusions
As soon as your inclusion pack arrives safely with us, we'll send you a confirmation email to let you know it's been received.
If you don't see this email, please check your spam or junk folder.
Step 4 – Creating Your Jewellery
Our standard turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the date we receive your inclusions.
If you've ordered multiple pieces, please allow an additional 2–3 working days per extra item.
We always aim to complete orders sooner whenever possible. During particularly busy periods, turnaround times may extend to up to 6 weeks, but we'll always let you know in advance.
Custom & Gold Orders
Custom-made pieces and solid gold jewellery require additional time as they are specially made to order before being independently hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office, as required by UK law.
Please allow approximately 8–10 weeks for these orders.
Step 5 – Shipping
Once your jewellery has been carefully handcrafted and quality checked, it will be beautifully packaged and dispatched via Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked delivery.
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email, along with your tracking number, on the day your order is dispatched.
Engraved Jewellery
The process for engraved jewellery is slightly different.
After placing your order, please email your chosen photographs, handwriting, fingerprints or other engraving requirements to info@forevernearjewellery.com.
We'll check that your images are suitable and contact you if anything needs adjusting before production begins.
Engraved items usually have a turnaround time of 2–3 weeks and are then packaged and dispatched in the same way as all of our jewellery.
Out of UK purchasing
We do not create anything outside of England, Wales or Scotland.
With all the new laws now for shipping to Ireland and Europe, I sadly cannot accommodate.

What is memorial jewellery?
Memorial jewellery is a beautiful way to keep a loved one close to you. Each piece is individually handcrafted to safely preserve a small amount of ashes, hair, fur, dried flowers, fabric, breast milk or other meaningful inclusions, creating a lasting tribute that can be treasured forever.
How is your memorial jewellery made?
Every piece is handcrafted by Forever Near using carefully selected, high-quality materials and techniques refined over many years.
Our jewellery is available in 925 sterling silver and solid 9ct gold, both of which are hypoallergenic and completely free from lead and nickel.
Each memorial stone is individually created using premium UV resin, chosen for its exceptional clarity, strength and resistance to yellowing over time. We use genuine crushed opal rather than imitation resin opals to create depth, sparkle and beautiful colour.
Unlike many mass-produced memorial pieces, every stone is built layer by layer. Each layer is individually cured before the next is added, allowing us to carefully position inclusions alongside opal, mica powders and pigments to create a unique finish.
Every inclusion is handled with the utmost care and respect, and all tools are thoroughly disinfected or replaced between orders to ensure the highest standards throughout the creation process.
Can I customise my jewellery?
Absolutely.
Alongside our existing collection, we offer a wide range of customisation options including:
-
Choice of stone colours
-
Genuine crushed opal combinations
-
Engraving
-
Custom designs
-
Bespoke colour matching wherever possible
If you have a specific colour or idea in mind, we'll do our very best to create something that's uniquely yours.
How do I send my ashes or inclusions?
After placing your order, we'll send you a secure inclusion pack containing everything you'll need, including:
-
Detailed instructions
-
A labelled inclusion pouch
-
Your order form
-
A prepaid tracked return mailer (excluding tester pieces)
Your loved one's ashes or inclusions are treated with the utmost care, dignity and respect from the moment they arrive until your completed jewellery is safely returned.
How long does my order take?
Our current turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the date we receive your inclusions.
Custom designs, bespoke alterations and solid 9ct gold pieces typically take 8–10 weeks due to the additional craftsmanship and, where applicable, independent hallmarking.
During particularly busy periods, turnaround times may occasionally be extended, but we'll always keep you informed throughout the process.
Can I see examples before ordering?
Of course.
You can browse hundreds of previous commissions throughout our website and social media pages to see the quality of our work and the different memorial styles we create.
If you have any questions before ordering, we're always happy to help via our website chat or email.
Do your pieces come with a warranty?
Yes.
Our memorial stones are covered by a 6-month workmanship warranty, protecting against manufacturing defects.
Damage caused by accidents, impact, general wear and tear, loss of stones or improper care isn't covered under the warranty.
However, we offer a jewellery servicing and restoration service to help bring your piece back to its best whenever possible.
Full details can be found on our Jewellery Care page.
How should I care for my jewellery?
Each order includes detailed care instructions to help keep your jewellery looking beautiful for years to come.
We recommend:
-
Removing jewellery before swimming, showering or bathing.
-
Avoiding perfumes, cleaning products and harsh chemicals.
-
Removing jewellery before heavy lifting or physical activities.
-
Cleaning gently with a soft polishing cloth.
You can also find our full Jewellery Care Guide on our website.
Will the stone colour be exactly the same as shown?
Every memorial stone is individually handmade, making each one completely unique.
Ashes naturally vary in colour and texture, so darker ashes may slightly influence the finished appearance of lighter stone colours.
Similarly, white or very light-coloured hair or fur can become less visible once encapsulated, as it naturally loses some pigment when immersed within the resin.
Our layering technique is specifically designed to showcase inclusions as beautifully as possible, but slight natural variations should be expected and are part of what makes every piece truly one of a kind.
What if I have questions or a special request?
We're always here to help.
Whether you'd like a completely bespoke design or simply have a question before ordering, please get in touch via our website chat or email.
We'll happily guide you through the process and help create a piece that's as unique as the memories it holds.
If you're looking for something truly personal, be sure to visit our Custom Jewellery page to see how we can bring your ideas to life.
What inclusions can you use?
Anything that has been dried or is naturally dry such as ashes & hair can be used.
For example:
-
Ashes
-
Hair
-
Fur
-
Dried flowers
-
Fabric from clothing
-
Umbilical cord
-
Sand
-
Soil
-
Horse mane/tail
-
Feathers
How do you keep my loved one's ashes safe?
When your loved one arrives, you will receive an email which lets you know they are safe and sound with myself, your pack is then checked and logged then everything has the client name loved ones name and the order number on so its all linkable, I also do not touch another order until one is completely finished, checked and packed with the label on and moved in to the shipping area. I treat your loved ones as I'd expect my very own loved ones to be treated, we chat we listen to music while we create something for their loved one to hold dear.
Can I have more than one person's ashes in one piece?
Of course, as I use a small amount when it is multiple loved ones in one piece I have everyone open together and add an amount of each loved ones inclusions to the piece there is really no limit. For example the diamond double love band I have had 6 loved ones from 2 families either side of the daughter 3 in each heart brings them all together.
Can I order without ashes?
Of course due to the extensive inclusions list, ashes do not have to be involved within every piece. You can opt for solely hair, dried flowers, dried earth, fibres like I said above the list is endless as long as it is dry it can be cured
Is the resin waterproof?
The short answer is yes but to an extent, it's a nature material and over time exposed to water, chemicals, soaps etc it will dull it wont have the same shine as it once did. That is why I ask for the pieces to be removed risk of long term affects but also risk of damage.
