Your Forever Near jewellery has been lovingly handcrafted to be treasured for many years to come. Like all fine jewellery, a little care will help keep it looking as beautiful as the day it arrived.

 

Caring for Your Jewellery

Storage

When you're not wearing your jewellery, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture.

We recommend keeping your piece in the jewellery box provided or in an individual soft pouch to help prevent scratches and minimise tarnishing.

Cleaning

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

• Polish the metal regularly using the complimentary polishing cloth included with your order.

• For a deeper clean, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap before drying thoroughly with a soft cloth.

• Never use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals on your jewellery.

If your sterling silver naturally develops tarnish over time, this is completely normal and not a manufacturing fault. A silver polishing cloth or suitable silver cleaner can usually restore its original shine.

Avoid Chemicals & Water

To prolong the life of both the metal and your memorial stone, we recommend removing your jewellery before:

• Swimming

• Showering or bathing

• Using hot tubs or saunas

• Exercising or going to the gym

• Sunbathing

• Applying perfumes, lotions or hairspray

• Using household cleaning products

Over time, exposure to chemicals, sweat, chlorine and salt water can dull both the resin and the precious metal finish.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time through exposure to air, moisture and everyday wear. This is a natural characteristic of the metal and isn't considered a manufacturing defect.

Regular cleaning and polishing will keep your jewellery looking beautiful.

White Gold & Rose Gold

Our white and rose gold jewellery begins as solid 9ct yellow gold before receiving its specialist coloured finish.

Over time, this finish will naturally wear depending on how often the jewellery is worn and how well it is cared for.

Although we don't currently carry out recoating in-house, we're happy to arrange this through one of our trusted specialists, or you're welcome to use your own local jeweller.

Memorial Stones

We use one of the highest quality UV resins available, chosen for its exceptional clarity and long-term resistance to yellowing.

Our resin has undergone extensive durability and UV testing to ensure it remains as beautiful as possible for years to come.

However, like all resin jewellery, continual exposure to chemicals, perfumes, makeup, chlorine, sun cream, sweat and excessive UV light may gradually dull the surface over time.

For customers who wear their jewellery every day and rarely remove it, we recommend our Jewellery Servicing once a year. This includes professional cleaning, polishing and recoating of the memorial stone to restore its original shine.

Jewellery Servicing

Our Jewellery Servicing is designed to keep your Forever Near piece looking its very best.

Depending on your jewellery's condition, the service may include:

• Professional deep cleaning

• Metal polishing

• Memorial stone recoating

• Light filing and refinishing

• Replacement of up to two small accent stones where required

This service is ideal for jewellery that's worn daily and helps restore its original beauty.

Warranty

Every Forever Near piece is carefully inspected, cleaned and quality checked before leaving our workshop.

Memorial Stone Warranty

Your memorial stone is covered by a 6-month workmanship warranty.

If the memorial stone becomes detached due to a manufacturing fault during this period, we'll repair or replace it free of charge.

We may ask you to provide photographs of the jewellery before arranging the repair to help determine the cause.

Damage resulting from accidental impact, misuse, improper care or general wear and tear isn't covered under the warranty.

Crystal Settings

Jewellery containing decorative crystals is thoroughly inspected and tested before dispatch.

Due to the nature of jewellery being worn daily, we cannot guarantee against crystals becoming dislodged through accidental knocks or everyday wear after 4 weeks from delivery.

Should this happen, our Jewellery Servicing can replace up to two missing crystals as part of the service.
